Are you seeking someone to walk with you on your spiritual journey?

Are you trying to listen to the ways Spirit is speaking to you in your life?

Are you struggling to cultivate a sense of peace and presence in your everyday?

Do you want to explore your religious or spiritual beliefs?

Are you in discernment about your vocation and purpose?

What is spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is the ancient practice of companioning with seekers on their spiritual journey. Trained in the art of "holy listening", spiritual directors practice the ministry of presence in order to support you on your spiritual journey.  Spiritual direction may be a place where you can explore your relationship with Spirit, cultivate deeper prayer and spiritual practices, build greater awareness of Spirit's presence in your life, discern your vocation, or wrestle with questions around your religious/spiritual beliefs.

What will our meetings be like?

Although I am rooted in the Christian tradition, many diverse wisdom traditions shape my spirituality.  I am an Interspiritual/Interfaith Spiritual Director and I journey will people of all faiths, spiritualities, and belief systems.  For me, Spirit is the "director" in a spiritual direction meeting; therefore each meeting will be unique and led by the Spirit.  Typically we will meet for an hour, once per month. Meetings could include prayer, meditation, movement, conversation, moments of silence, exploration of spiritual practices, etc.  I take the lead from you and Spirit around what's on your heart in this journey.  While I'm not a counselor and cannot provide counseling, no topic in your life is off limits, as I truly believe that "God is where the action is".

What kind of training and experience do you have in Spiritual Direction?

I was called by Spirit to enter into this ministry and it is one of the ways that I serve the Creator. I received training in Spiritual Direction from Seattle University where I received my Masters of Arts Degree in Transforming Spirituality with an emphasis in Spiritual Direction.  I have served as a Chaplain at a juvenile detention center, facilitated group spiritual direction with various groups, as well as, provided one-on-one spiritual direction for over 9 years. I abide by Spiritual Director's International (SDI) Guidelines for Ethical Conduct.  I also cultivate daily contemplative practices and prayer in my own life as well as participate in peer supervision.

How do we meet and how much does it cost?

If you'd like to explore spiritual direction, we can have our first meeting at no cost.  This will help us to determine if we are the right fit for each other.  Spiritual direction meetings are typically about once per month and cost anywhere from $50-$80.  Regarding the cost, I will work with what you can afford. Meetings can be held over the phone, via video conferencing, or in person(if you are based in the Atlanta area).

And the deepest level of communication is not communication, but communion. It is wordless. It is beyond words, and it is beyond speech, and it is beyond concept. Not that we discover a new unity. We discover an older unity. My dear, we are already one. But we imagine we are not. And what we have to recover is our original unity. What we have to be is what we are.
